Based around the EarthTeach challenge course, LEAP
participants explore and learn the skills of effective
leadership through fun, exciting and interesting activities
and games. LEAP is able to immerse participants in a
gorgeous wooded wilderness while exploring the intricacies
of leadership.
A four-year old program, LEAP is a growing and expanding
project that currently offers three separate sessions at
various dates during the summer. The core team of staff,
Josh Sadler, Kim Brunskill and Cris Kelly, has over 40
years of combined experience in leadership development,
experiential learning and group facilitation.
Most LEAP participants are first introduced to EarthTeach
through involvement in a school-related trip to the Park.
Their interest and enrollment in LEAP indicates a personal
desire to return to the Park during the summer for more
contact time! Each program utilizes high and low ropes
course elements to emphasize the necessity for teamwork,
trust, good communication skills, and self-knowledge to be
a good leader.
All activities are “challenge-by-choice,” no one is ever
forced into an uncomfortable situation. All programs will
emphasize the theories and practices of personal leadership
awareness, group leadership dynamics, and team building.
World class leadership training delivered in a fun, safe
and exciting experience.
